Workshop on Strongly Coupled QCD: The Confinement Problem
Workshop on Strongly Coupled QCD: The Confinement Problem
Nonperturbative studies of QCD have witnessed important developments in recent years. Understanding the behavior of non-Abelian gauge theories in the strongly coupled regime is one of the most challenging problems in theoretical physics, as it is directly connected to several fundamental aspects of QCD such as: quark and gluon confinement, quark-gluon plasma, the QCD phase diagram, QCD mass spectrum, and etc. The aim of this meeting is to gather leading experts as well as young researchers to discuss the current status of nonperturbative approaches to the confinement problem. The meeting also offers an opportunity to discuss and evaluate the future perspectives of this field in Brazil.
